A Childbirth Preparation Workshop for Parents:
Move, Breathe & Prepare for Birth with Marissa Mignone

Join us for a fun and informative prenatal partner workshop. This workshop is for expecting parents to gain awareness, information, and practices on preparing for birth. You will learn yoga, breathwork, relaxation, meditation, and visualization techniques for comfort during labor.

The Cost:

  • $65 per couple (by 3/01)

  • $75 per couple (starting 3/02)

  • Please Note: Pre-registration is required, including doula clients. Register one person per couple.

These workshops are a great way to build community and connection with your partner and other parents; and can be enjoyed at any time during pregnancy.

What to expect:

  • Parents will have an opportunity to meet and share with other parents.

  • Take home tools, practices, and exercises to bring more comfort, connection, and ease to the birthing experience. 

In Preparation:

  • Please wear comfortable clothes to move in.

  • Bring a yoga mat, water, and a journal if you’d like to take notes.

  • Enjoy a light meal before class. Participants are welcome to bring snacks.

 

About your facilitator, Marissa Mignone:
Marissa has had the honor of supporting parents for the past 11 years as a Birth Doula, Postpartum Doula, Childbirth Educator and Prenatal/Postnatal Yoga Instructor in the Truckee/Tahoe area.

In 2012, Marissa became a certified Birthing from Within Doula and Childbirth Educator. Since then, she has gained further education and training through Jane Austin’s Prenatal/Postnatal Yoga Level 1 & 2 certifications, completed Spinning Babies workshops, studied Birth Story Listening with Birthing from Within and completed an Ayurvedic Postpartum Doula training with Sacred Windows Studies.

Marissa believes with the proper care, support, love, and time that parents can have happier experiences of pregnancy, birth and postpartum. Her doula and teaching style is loving, compassionate, understanding, grounding, calming and dynamic. She strives to help parents understand their options, how to make decisions and how to find solutions in the moment to achieve a positive empowered birth.
